Statistics
Isle of Wight Council is no longer producing COVID-19 data packs. Universal COVID-19 testing ended on 31st March. This has limited our ability to interpret published data on case numbers and rates in a meaningful way.
Our Public Health team continues to review publicly available sources of information to understand the national, regional and local picture of COVID-19.
This includes:
- The ONS COVID-19 infection survey . This provides data on positive cases that is expected to be less affected by changes in testing policy.
- The government COVID-19 dashboard which provides data on cases, as well as hospitalisations and deaths
We continue to work with other partner organisations like UKHSA, NHS and other local authorities. This makes sure we’re able to escalate our actions if needed.
